KENOMO project establishes a long-term collaboration between the Faculty of
Computing and Information Management at KCA University (KCAU), Network Partner
University of Nairobi (UoN), School of Computing and Informatics and the Department of
Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Stavanger (UiS, Norway),
Linking Industry with Academia (LIWA), and Center for Internationalization of Education
(SIU). The main goal of the KENOMO project is to recognize and empower under-
represented groups in Computer Science.

Through funding from the Norwegian Partnership Programme for Global Academic
Cooperation (NORPART), 25 Masters students from KCAU and UoN will each gain 30
ECTS- the European Credit and Accumulation System- during a six month stay at UiS.
Furthermore,9 Doctorate students from KCAU and UoN will attend UiS for three months
and earn 10 ECTS each, while working under joint supervision to perform research leading to
a peer-reviewed publication. One PhD student from UiS will attend KCAU and UoN for 3
months, guest lecturing while working under joint supervision to perform research leading to
a peer-reviewed publication.
